At an urgent special meeting of the party held on April 15 the declaration was read out and General Secretary Antoine Gizenga signed the declaration in accordance with the unanimous will of all participants.

Conveying the signed document to the DPRK mission in DR Congo the permanent secretary of the party said:

Our party is greatly pleased to sign the historic Pyongyang Declaration on the Day of the Sun, a significant holiday common to mankind.

Every paragraph of the declaration is in line with the ideal of our party.

We will carry on our struggle to achieve the final victory of socialism.
