The U.S. moves for pressing for the THAAD deployment have increased the danger of war and touched off discontent of the people with the U.S., the statement said, and went on:

The aim sought by the U.S. in introducing THAAD into the Korean peninsula is to protect the U.S. forces and their military bases in south Korea and Japan and on Guam, contain countries around Korea and hold a military edge in East Asia.

The THAAD deployment is, therefore, aimed at making south Korea cannon fodder for the U.S. and Japan, the statement held.
