S. Koreans Call for Opening Era of People's Power

| Pyongyang, April 24 (KCNA) -- The Society of April Revolution, the Confederation of Trade Unions and other organizations in south Korea reportedly held a memorial service at the cemetery of those involved in the April 19 Popular Uprising on April 19, the 57th anniversary of the uprising. The participants in the memorial service called for vigorously ushering in an era of people's sovereignty for independence, democracy and reunification in the spirit of candlelight action. They stressed that the candlelight action should be intensified without letup to uproot the evil practices and reform society. |
