Concert Given by KPA Song and Dance Ensemble
Pyongyang, April 25 (KCNA) --A music and dance performance was given by the Korean People's Army Song and Dance Ensemble at the April 25 House of Culture on Tuesday, the 85th founding anniversary of the Korean People's Army (KPA).

Among the audience were Kim Yong Nam, Pak Pong Ju, Choe Ryong Hae and other senior Party and state leading officials, the chairperson of a friendly party, officials of the Party and armed forces organs, ministries and national institutions, service personnel of the KPA and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, officials of institutions, industrial establishments and persons of merit in Pyongyang, the chief of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front and overseas Koreans.

Present there on invitation were foreign diplomatic envoys here and their spouses and military attaches of foreign embassies here and their spouses and other foreign guests.

The performance began with revolutionary hymn "Ode to General Kim Jong Un" and "Song of the Korean People's Army" in chorus. Put on the stage were chorus "Long Live Generalissimo Kim Il Sung", orchestra and chorus "Song of the Revolutionary Army" and other numbers.

The performers sang high praises of the feats President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il performed by giving the origin to the building of the Juche-based army and strengthening the KPA into the invincible revolutionary army.

They eulogized pride and self-esteem of the service personnel of the KPA who are ushering in the greatest heyday of the cause of army-building of Juche, closely united around respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un in high esteem.

Also put on the stage were numbers reflecting the revolutionary and optimistic life of the service personnel and showing the will of strong a-match-for-a-hundred army to put an end to the history of the confrontation with the U.S. which has lasted century after century and achieve the reunification of the country.
