According to the decision, the 8th KCU Congress is to be held here early in June Juche 106 (2017).

The Central Committee of the Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist Youth League clarified that the forthcoming congress would mark an important occasion in strengthening the KCU into a glorious union of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and a children's organization of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un in line with the requirements of the Korean revolution and the development of the Juche-based children's movement and training all the KCU members to be reliable reserves for the building of a socialist power and true successors to the youth league.
