The museum, visited by President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il several times, is a place for education in patriotism, which houses historical relics and mementoes associated with Mt. Myohyang, a famous mountain of Korea.

For the past 70 years since its founding, the museum has served as a school for education in patriotism and turned into a world-famous cultural site, instilling patriotism into people and giving wide publicity to the history and culture of the Korean nation.

A birthday-marking ceremony took place on Tuesday.

A congratulatory message from the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea was conveyed to the employees of the museum at the ceremony.
