Chairman of C.C., GFTUK Meets President of Council of State of Cuba

| Pyongyang, May 3 (KCNA) -- Ju Yong Gil, chairman of the C.C., General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea (GFTUK) who is leading its delegation to attend the meeting of the Presidential Council of the World Federation of Trade Unions and to pay a visit to Cuba, met with Raul Castro Ruz, president of the Council of State of Cuba, on Monday. Referring to the present situation on the Korean peninsula, Raul Castro Ruz said that Cuba extends full support to the Workers' Party of Korea and the Korean people in their just struggle and will always stand with them in the anti-U.S. joint front. Ju Yong Gil also met with Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermudez, first vice-president of the Council of State of Cuba. The first vice-president said that Cuba would always stand by the Korean people and express invariable solidarity with them. Ju also met with the Cuban foreign minister and the general secretary of the Centre of the Cuban Workers. |
