It was attended by public health workers including those of the Central Committee of the Medical Association of Korea, scientists and teachers, a delegation of the Korean Health Workers Association in Japan led by Chairman Kang Kyong Bu and a delegation of Korean medical persons in the U.S. led by Park Kee Bum.

Kim Hyong Hun, chairman of the Central Committee of the Medical Association of Korea, made an opening address to be followed by speeches.

The speakers said the symposium would offer a platform for swapping good successes and experience gained in the medical scientific researches and for briskly conducting exchange and cooperation.

Lectures were delivered on modern medical service facilities built in the DPRK and changing causes of liver cirrhosis.

Treatises were also appreciated at the symposium.
