The chieftain of the nuclear war crisis and escalation of tension on the Korean peninsula is the U.S. and its vassal forces including the south Korean warmongers, the statement said, and went on:

The situation proves the U.S. is a cancer-like entity lying in the way of peace and national reunification of the Korean peninsula and that the issue of the north-south relations can not see a solution as long as the U.S. is left intact.

The situation also teaches a serious lesson that unless fierce practical action is waged to steadily strengthen the forces for the great national unity, and the confrontational moves of the anti-reunification forces at home and abroad are foiled, it will be impossible to defend the precious fruition of the June 15 era, a result of the painstaking efforts made by all Koreans.

The Association will wage an unflinching action to foil the U.S. and its vassal forces' moves of hampering the improvement of the north-south ties and to open up a wide avenue to independent reunification by the concerted efforts of the Koreans in the north and the south and abroad this significant year.
