Papers Deride Trump Administration's Ambition to Pressurize DPRK

Pyongyang, May 9 (KCNA) -- U.S. President Trump during his recent interview with Reuters bluffed that there is certainly a possibility of a big conflict with the DPRK and he maintains the option of military strike at it. Meanwhile, U.S. Secretary of State Tillerson, at a ministerial meeting of the UN Security Council called for tightening economic and diplomatic pressure on the DPRK to make it scrap nuclear program. And he told that to this end each country has to cut off or downgrade the level of diplomatic relations with the DPRK and further the implementation of the sanctions on it. This rubbish of half pressure and half admonition nature is a useless act of those who have lost self-control, being seized by the vaulting ambition of stifling the DPRK, notes Rodong Sinmun Tuesday in a commentary, which says: The Trump group is going reckless without reason even though they do not have full understanding of how the world goes about, what kind of rival it stands against and how invincible might the rival has. The DPRK already declared it would not rule out any special option in order to defend the peace on the Korean peninsula and the region. It is its pluck and stamina to answer an all-out war in kind and a nuclear war with powerful nuclear strike of Korean-style. Preemptive attack is no longer the monopoly of the U.S. If the U.S. makes even a slightest provocation to the DPRK, the latter will mercilessly destroy the former with preemptive strike of its own style and achieve the great cause of national reunification. Minju Joson commentary derides the Trump administration for coming out with the hackneyed suggestion not welcomed even by the Americans. |
