It has been equipped with multi-functional education facilities and experimental apparatuses. There is a playground outside the building which has service facilities and others.

An opening ceremony of the building took place on Tuesday.

Present there were Choe Tong Myong, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea; Kim Sung Du, chairman of the Education Commission; Cha Hui Rim, chairman of the Pyongyang City People's Committee; and officials, teaching staff and students of the university.

Thae Hyong Chol, president of Kim Il Sung University and minister of Higher Education, made a report which was followed by speeches.

The reporter and speakers expressed their will to develop Kim Il Sung University into the revolutionary university of the great leaders training able men strong in idea and faith and the world-class university leading the building of a socialist power.

At the end of the ceremony the participants went round the building and inspected a class at work.
