Its opening ceremony was held at Kim Il Sung University on Tuesday.

Attending it were officials, teachers and researchers of Kim Il Sung University and professors of universities of different countries.

Ri Kuk Chol, first vice-president of Kim Il Sung University, in his opening address said that the symposium would mark an occasion in strengthening the friendship and ties between Kim Il Sung University and science research institutes of universities in different countries and opening a new phase for scientific exchanges.

The symposium was divided into panels of ecological environment protection, life science, medical science and agriculture.

It closed on Wednesday.
