More than 460 scientific papers were presented to the symposium divided into panels of basis medicine, pharmacy, surgery, therapeutics, sanitary science and prevention of epidemics and Koryo medicine.

Drawing interest of the participants were papers dealing with successes and experience gained in medical science and technology, including the issues for introducing advanced diagnosing and curing methods, effectively curing diseases and putting the production of efficient medicines on a modern and scientific basis.
