Zaher al Khatib, secretary general of the Lebanon Federation of Workers who is chairman of the Lebanese Committee for Supporting the Reunification of Korea, and Yehia Zakaria Khairullah, vice-chairman of the Socialist Freedom Party of Egypt who is chairman of the Egypt-Korea Friendship Association, were elected co-chairmen of the regional committee.
