Nukes Represent Supreme Interests of DPRK: Rodong Sinmun

Pyongyang, May 13 (KCNA) -- World media and experts commented with sigh of relief that the dark clouds of a war hung over the Korean peninsula owing to the U.S. reckless military provocations were removed and one of crisis was over. This is because the DPRK stopped the tyrannical U.S. by the strategy of having access to powerful war deterrent and countering with it.

Rodong Sinmun Saturday in a commentary says that nukes serve as an absolute symbol of the dignity and strength of DPRK and its supreme interests.

It goes on;

As long as the U.S. does not roll back its hostile policy toward the DPRK, it will redouble its measure for bolstering up its capabilities for self-defense with nuclear force as a pivot.

The U.S. should not hope for the DPRK's dismantlement of nukes in the least. And it should be mindful that it would suffer disgrace and destruction if it dare ignite a war against the DPRK.

The U.S., touting the anti-DPRK policy such as "maximum pressure and engagement", is trying to suffocate the DPRK with all-out sanctions and pressure. However, the U.S. is sadly mistaken. Obama's policy called "strategic patience" compelled the DPRK to have access to everything it desired. The Trump administration's adventurous "maximum pressure and engagement" will result in the DPRK's bolstering up of nuclear deterrence at the highest speed.
