World Media Observe Kim Il Sung's Birth Anniversary

Pyongyang, May 14 (KCNA) -- Media of Cambodia, Syria and Guinea gave special write-ups to the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung. The Cambodian newspaper Nokor Thom Daily devoted one whole page to an article titled "Sunny smile" with a portrait of smiling Kim Il Sung, which said that his smile reflects confidence and optimism about the rosy future of socialist Korea. Cambodia's AKP and broadcasting services introduced what personages of different countries have said in praise of the President's exploits and personality as a great man, stressing that he is a prominent elder statesman in the 20th century as he founded the Juche idea to show the road ahead of mankind and steered the cause of global independence under the banner of independence against imperialism. Syria's Central TV Channel broadcasted records showing the revolutionary activities of the President and scenes on the achievements made by the Korean people in building a socialist power. The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) and the Central Broadcasting Service carried special reports on his noble life devoted to the country and the people. The Syrian newspaper Al Baath in an article titled "DPRK celebrates the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung" noted that the progressive people have celebrated the birth anniversary of the President with splendor as a holiday common to mankind every year. Another papers Al Thawrah and Tishrin carried articles under such titles as "105th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung, founder of the DPRK". The Guinean newspaper Horoya praised the lifetime of the President in several articles illustrated with a portrait of smiling Kim Il Sung. Broadcasting services of Guinea introduced the fact that the President rendered material and moral assistance to the national liberation struggle and building of a new society in African countries as well as Kimilsungia which came to birth as an immortal flower. |
