WFTU Presidential Council Meeting Adopts Resolution on Solidarity with Korean Working People
Pyongyang, May 14 (KCNA) -- The meeting of the Presidential Council of the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU), held in Havana of Cuba, adopted a resolution on solidarity with the working people of the DPRK on May 4.

The resolution praised the DPRK as a socialist state guided by the Juche idea, where the broad working masses are the masters of the state power and the production means and everything in the society serves them.

It referred to the fact that a vigorous drive for creating Mallima Speed is going on in the DPRK to victoriously advance people-centered socialism with the great spirit of self-reliance and self-development as the dynamic force.

It condemned the U.S. and the south Korean puppet forces for staging the largest-ever nuclear war drills to drive the situation of the Korean peninsula to the brink of a war and hinder its reunification, the unanimous desire of the Korean nation.

The resolution said:

WFTU extends full support and solidarity to the working people of the DPRK in the struggle to build a socialist power through a dynamic all-people offensive for the Conference of Mallima Frontrunners under the wise guidance of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un and reunify the country independently as soon as possible.

WFTU scathingly denounces the U.S. and south Korea for their nuclear war exercises against the DPRK which prevent the reunification of the Korean peninsula and pose a serious threat to the peace and security of the world, and strongly demands that the U.S. withdraw its aggression forces from south Korea, replace the armistice agreement by a peace accord and make a bold decision to roll back its anachronistic hostile policy towards the DPRK.

It appeals to all its member organizations and friendly bodies to extend invariable support and solidarity to the workers and other working masses of the DPRK in their just struggle for national reunification and peace and prosperity.
