A ceremony for starting the project took place at the Sunchon Chemical Complex on Sunday.

Present there were Pak Pong Ju, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the C.C., Workers' Party of Korea, vice-chairman of the DPRK State Affairs Commission and premier of the Cabinet, O Su Yong, vice-chairman of the C.C., WPK, Ro Tu Chol, vice-premier and chairman of the State Planning Commission, Pak Thae Song, chairman of the South Phyongan Provincial Committee of the WPK, and others.

Jang Kil Ryong, minister of Chemical Industry, addressed the ceremony.
