National Sci-Tech Presentation in Field of Fisheries Held

| Pyongyang, May 17 (KCNA) -- A national sci-tech presentation in the field of fisheries was held at the Sci-Tech Complex on May 16 and 17 under the sponsorship of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea. Present there were at least 150 scientists, technicians, teachers and researchers of ten-odd units including Kim Il Sung University, Kim Hyong Jik University of Education, Wonsan University of Fisheries, Nampho University of Fisheries, the Institute of Fishery of the Ministry of Fisheries and the Kangwon Provincial Fishery Management Bureau. More than 140 papers were presented at the presentation. They were divided into panels including fishery and fish farming. Successes which solved scientific and technical problems arising in increasing the production of marine products and experience were presented. A lecture "on bio bait for fish farming" was given. A closing ceremony took place on Wednesday. |
