Waterway Project Builders Commended

Pyongyang, May 18 (KCNA) -- Order of Kim Jong Il, title of DPRK labor hero, Kim Il Sung Youth Honor Prize, Kim Jong Il Youth Honor Prize and other titles of honor, orders and medals were awarded to the shock brigade members, engineers, officials and helpers in recognition of their labor feats for the first-stage gravitational waterway project in South Hwanghae Province.

According to the May 12 decree of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, Order of Kim Jong Il went to Kang Mun Sok and the title of Labor Hero to Kim Chung Il, Choe Kil Jun, Jang Ryol and Ko Hyon.

And 1 578 persons received Kim Il Sung Youth Honor Prize, Kim Jong Il Youth Honor Prize, titles of Designer of Merit and Driver of Merit, Order of National Flag First Class, Order of Labour, Order of National Flag Second Class, Order of National Flag Third Class, Distinguished Military Service Medal and Medal of Merit.
