Taking part in the fair are more than 200 companies from different countries and regions, which put on display electronic, machine, metal, building-material, medical and light industrial products, foodstuffs, consumer goods and others.

Masoud Dariani, import and export manager of the Iranian Namnik Co., told KCNA that it is the first time for him to participate in the fair.

He said that his company exhibits over 20 kinds of foodstuffs, hoping the fair would be a good occasion in promoting the economic exchange among countries. And he stressed that he would develop economic exchange with the DPRK.

Other foreign businessmen expressed their willingness to continue to participate in the fair, saying that it is an international economic gathering.

Pak Ung Sik, director of the Korean International Exhibition Corporation, said that its main theme is friendship, cooperation and common prosperity and development and it is expected to witness broad contacts and positive business among companies of the DPRK and other countries.
