Korea has a long history in producing ramie cloth which has been well-known over the world for its advantages like fast colors and porous character from olden times.

According to historical records, the weave of ramie cloth was developed away back the age of Three Kingdoms (Koguryo, Paekje and Silla) and it was exported to other countries.

In the period of Koryo (918-1392), varieties of ramie clothes, including ramie cloth of fine texture and fine-patterned ramie cloth, were produced.

And it was one of special products in the period of Feudal Joson Dynasty (1392-1910).
