Their painstaking efforts to develop perfectly the powerful Juche weapons such as new ground-to-ground medium-to-long range strategic ballistic rocket cannot be characterized by a simple campaign of brains and technology, and it was a life-and-death struggle for paving the untrodden path.

Fully determined to defend the prestige of the Party Central Committee and bolster up the country's military capability for self-defense with the sci-tech might, they successfully developed only in a few months the new-type high-thrust engine, whose development is considered in general to take ten years or 7 or 8 years at least, and gave birth to "Juche weapons" one after another.

When everyone and any sector and any unit of the country give priority to science and technology, world-startling events will take place in succession and the cause of building a socialist power will make steady progress.
