Scientists at Kim Il Sung University developed new mine fumes neutralizer helpful to labor protection and faster tunneling.

Teachers and researchers at Phyongsong University of Coal Mining improved a hewing method for increased production of soft and hard coals.

They also made a new type of battery tramcar, electro-muck loader and anchor-bolt wagon drill and doubled the capacity of air separator.

Among achievements they made are a tramcar motor speed regulator and a digital audio communication device.
