Under this instruction, the secretary general of LDP and the chief of its promotion headquarters discussed on strengthening the headquarters and hastening the deliberations on the issue to work out an amendment to the constitution. The amendment will be reportedly made within this year and submitted to the Screening Council of both houses of the Diet at its regular session to be held in January next year.

Commenting on the fact, Rodong Sinmun Thursday says:

What the Japanese ultra-right reactionaries seek mainly through the retrogressive revision of constitution is to realize the old dream of the "Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere" at any cost Japan failed to do so in the past.

They have already cooked up the security legislation, emergency law, law on special measures against terrorism, etc. to provide legal and institutional steps that allow the "Self-Defense Forces" to conduct military activities in the vast Asia-Pacific region.

Now they are going to scrap the framework of "Pacifist Constitution" and advance to overseas aggression, unhindered.

It is a matter of time for Japan to revive militarism and launch reinvasion.

Nobody can vouch that another era of nightmare of bloodshed and plunder like the one in the first half of the 20th century would not repeat itself.

The Japanese reactionary ruling quarters should bear in mind that if they run amuck with wild ambition for militarist reinvasion, they will face catastrophic defeat only.
