Abolition of Labor Evils Urged in S. Korea
Pyongyang, June 1 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) started an intensive sit-in in demand of minimum wage hike, solution of part-time job and change of labor policy on May 29, according to the south Korean internet newspaper Jaju Sibo.

At a press conference held in Seoul, the KCTU clarified that the sit-in is aimed at urging the new "government" to set positive and proper labor and social reform policy.

A resolution adopted there declared that the organization would stage a sit-in at Kwanghwamun Plaza from May 29 to June 14.

It expressed the will of KCTU to make every effort to make "hell-like south Korea" into a new society for workers by general strike.
