DPRK Delegation Declares Stand on Rocket Test-fire for Self-Defence
Pyongyang, June 1 (KCNA) -- A delegation of the DPRK declared the following principled stand on the recent successful test-fire of ballistic rocket at the plenary meeting of the second-round of the Geneva Disarmament Conference on May 30:

The DPRK's test-fire of ballistic rocket is an exercise of the right to self-defence to cope with the reckless aggression moves of the U.S. chiefly responsible for the escalated tension on the Korean peninsula.

Some countries' criticism of this is a wanton violation of the sovereignty and interference in internal affairs of the DPRK.

The UN Security Council took issue only with the DPRK's bolstering up its military capability for self-defence, in disregard of the test-fire of ICBM by the U.S. This is an unpardonable discrimination and the height of double-standard.

The more the U.S. and its vassal forces pull up the DPRK over its step for bolstering its nuclear forces, the further the DPRK will diversify and develop the nuclear force at a high level.
