Kim Jong Il's Feats Praised by Bangladeshi Newspaper
Pyongyang, June 2 (KCNA) -- The Bangladeshi paper Daily Folk on May 23 carried an article on the revolutionary feats of leader Kim Jong Il to mark the 53rd anniversary of his start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

June 19, 1964 is a historic day he started the work at the WPK Central Committee, the paper noted, saying:

His start of work is a special event in developing the WPK.

He strengthened the WPK into the party of the leader and a powerful guiding force of the Songun revolution and always led it along the road of victory and thus laid the eternal foundations for building a socialist power.

He directed priority efforts to increasing the military strength to defend the destiny of socialism and the nation under the uplifted banner of Songun at a time when the U.S.-led imperialist allied forces' anti-socialist offensive was focused on the DPRK.

The DPRK, eclipsed in the world stage as a colonial weak nation a century ago, is now displaying its might as a politico-ideological and military power, a satellite manufacturing and launching state and a full-fledged nuclear weapons state. This would have been unthinkable without the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il.
