Participants in 8th KCU Congress Visit Mangyongdae

Pyongyang, June 4 (KCNA) -- The participants in the 8th Congress of the Korean Children's Union visited Mangyongdae, the birthplace of President Kim Il Sung. At the old home, they recalled the revolutionary careers and feats of the President. They climbed Mangyong Hill and went round relics including the study and Ssirum sites where the President cultivated the strong will and high ambition for the revolution in his childhood. The participants also visited the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt Taesong. They laid bounces of flowers at the bust of anti-Japanese war heroine Kim Jong Suk and paid tribute to her before looking round the cemetery. At the Youth Movement Museum, they laid bouquets before the full-length statues of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il among youths and children and paid tribute to them. And they looked round photos of the great leaders and respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, historic materials and relics on display. Besides, they toured the basic science hall and children's dream hall and a "national exhibition of children's science fictions and models-2017" at the Sci-Tech Complex. |
