Present there were Chairman Ho Jong Man and vice-chairmen Nam Sung U and Pae Ik Ju of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee and others.

Discussed at the meeting was the agenda item "On developing the movement of Koreans in Japan onto higher stage in conformity with the new era of Juche cause".

Ho Jong Man made a report of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee.

The reporter mentioned the achievements made by Chongryon in one year after the enlarged meeting of the third session of the 23rd Chongryon Central Committee.

Referring to the main thrusts to be made by all organizations of Chongryon in the 100 day movement, he said: A vigorous work is being conducted to more thoroughly establish the ideological system and leadership of Juche at all its units from the Central Standing Committee to branches, consolidate the chapters and branches and grass-roots level organizations, open clear-cut vistas for a turn in the national education, give substantial help to the living of compatriots and join in the nationwide movement for improved north-south relations and pan-national conference to bring earlier national reunification.

He stressed the need to adorn 2017 as a year of victory and significantly greet the 24th Congress of Chongryon, to be a new landmark in the movement of Koreans in Japan next year, through a great innovation drive for boosting the overall work of Chongryon in keeping step with the people in the homeland under the guidance of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

Speeches were made at the session.

The speakers renewed their resolution to make this year a year of turn and lay foundations for opening a new heyday through sustained innovative movement for the 24th Congress of Chongryon.

The session adopted the report of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee as a decision of the Chongryon Central Committee.

It also dealt with organizational matters.

A letter to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the session.
