The teenage weightlifter came first in the women's 48 kg category of the 2017 World Juvenile Weightlifting Championships held in April by snatching 79 kg and jerking 102 kg, 181 kg in total.

She began to learn weightlifting at the age of 11 and retained the national championship in the women's 38 kg category three years later by renewing national records in snatching, jerking and total.

Since then, she has showed good results in various domestic tournaments, highly appreciated as a promising weightlifter among sports experts and fans.

Rim Jong Sim, a twice Olympic gold medalist, Kim Kuk Hyang, an Olympic silver medalist, and Rim Un Sim, a world junior champion, also distinguished themselves at the world juvenile weightlifting championships.

Han is now putting spurs to training in order to glorify the honor of the country with more gold medals.
