The statement said:

The joint declaration calls for reunifying the country by the Korean nation's own efforts free from outside interference.

The declaration representing the unanimous will and wish of all Koreans who are desirous of the reunification is a precious fruit of the energetic leadership of the great Comrade Kim Jong Il.

After its publication, there had been brisk dialogue and cooperation between the north and the south of Korea in various fields.

But everything went up in smoke and the joint declaration was not implemented due to the puppet groups of Lee Myung Bak and Park Geun Hye.

The south Korean people should wage a vigorous struggle against the provocative nuclear war drills of the U.S. imperialists and for social independence and democracy.

We fully support the struggle of the Korean people for driving the U.S. imperialists out of south Korea and reunifying the country as soon as possible.
