In their talks the ambassador and the special rapporteur reached a consensus on the fact that the special rapporteur's visit to the DPRK early in May was a starting point of establishing the cooperative relations between the DPRK and international bodies concerning the rights of persons with disabilities, and exchanged their opinions on the issues of furthering dialogue and cooperation for the promotion of genuine human rights including the protection of the rights of persons with disabilities.

The ambassador said all the people of the DPRK including the disabled are enjoying genuine human rights thanks to respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un's politics of loving care for the people and younger generation, reiterating the will of the DPRK to sincerely implement the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

He also informed her of the fact that relevant organs of the DPRK are studying the measures concerning the recommendations given by her during her DPRK visit.

The special rapporteur thanked the DPRK government for showing warm hospitality during her visit and helping her grasp the situation of the disabled on the spot, adding that she would make a detailed report about her visit at the 10th session of the Conference of States Parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

She said she would make efforts to let the UN cooperative bodies pay attention to cooperating with the DPRK for the disabled, and proactively cooperate with it so that the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities would be carried out successfully to suit the specific conditions of the DPRK.

The ambassador made it clear again the DPRK's stand to flatly reject any human rights debate or cooperation, which is extremely politicized on the basis of "testimonies" made by the human scum "defectors from the north" and their fabrications, but to willingly respond to any dialogue and cooperation suggested for promoting the genuine human rights if it is to truly help the DPRK.
