Pochonbo Battle Introduced by German, British Organizations
Pyongyang, June 15 (KCNA) -- German and British organizations on June 4 and 5 posted on their internet homepages articles marking the 80th anniversary of the victorious Pochonbo battle.

In an article illustrated with the photo of President Kim Il Sung, the Anti-Imperialist Forum of Germany said:

Fierce flames that raged in Pochonbo 80 years ago are still now implanting the conviction of victory into the Korean people.

At the Xigang meeting in 1937 the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung set forth the policy of dealing blows at the Japanese imperialist aggressors and inspiring the people with hope of national liberation through the advancement of large guerrilla unit into the homeland.

The Korean People's Revolutionary Army started the Pochonbo battle according to the signal gun report made by him at 10 p.m. on June 4, engulfing the Japanese imperialists' plundering institutions in flames in a moment.

The speech made by Kim Il Sung before crowds of the people who came out to the street, shouting "Long Live General Kim Il Sung!" instilled into the people the confidence that Korea was not dead but alive and encouraged them to turn out in the sacred war for national liberation.

In an article, the British Association for the Study of Songun Policy referred in detail to the significance of the victorious Pochonbo battle.

The article stressed that just as the Korean people accomplished the historic cause of national liberation by rallying themselves around President Kim Il Sung, they are struggling to reunify the country without fail under the banner of great national unity, holding respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un in high esteem.
