Mangyongdae Children's Camp
Pyongyang, June 15 (KCNA) -- Schoolchildren in the DPRK are enjoying a pleasant camp life since when the hot season set in.

Among those camps crowed with schoolchildren is the Mangyongdae Children's Camp located at the foot of picturesque Mt Ryongak in Pyongyang.

The camp was successfully renovated into a comprehensive extracurricular education base for schoolchildren in June last year thanks to the loving care of the Workers' Party of Korea for the younger generation.

Jong Hak Myong, a pupil from Puhung Primary School in Phyongchon District, told KCNA that he feels satisfaction at bedrooms, rooms for folk games and video games, library and so on.

In the compound of the camp, there is a hall with its facade bearing letters "We Are the Happiest in the World", in which campers can play music or sing songs.

During the camping, schoolchildren acquire versatile knowledge and cultivate their cognitive power through diverse sports and other activities like mountaineering. And they are given a chance of cooking meals.

According to Kim Chol San, director of the camp, the camp has been further spruced up over the last one year after its reconstruction. Walk-ways from lodgings to restaurant and outdoor basketball court were roofed, a water slide was installed at the open-air swimming pool and animal sheds were newly built, he said.

When visiting the reconstructed camp in June last year, respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un called for making children enjoy happiness to be envied by the world, so that the song "We Are the Happiest in the World" should be reverberated down through generations.
