Japan's Scheme to Cover up Crime of Sexual Slavery Slammed

Pyongyang, June 16 (KCNA) -- A spokesman of the Korean Committee on Measures for the Sexual Slavery for Japanese Army and Drafting Victims issued a statement Friday to denounce Liberal Democratic Party Secretary General of Japan Nikai for making rubbish insulting and threatening the south Koreans, who demanded renegotiations over the "agreement" on the issue of sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army, during his recent visit to south Korea as a special envoy of Prime Minister Abe. Going round various parts of south Korea on June 10, Nikai told his suite members and journalists that "those hatching plot have to be obliterated, if they are detected, even though they might be a handful", while calling on "getting along well without quarrelling over tiny things". He made those arrogant remarks referring to the south Koreans demanding the abrogation of the "agreement" on the sexual slavery, an intolerable mockery and an open provocation to the entire Korean nation willing to see the abolition of the past crimes committed by the Japanese imperialists, the statement said, and went on: What is all the more stunning is the south Korean authorities who curry favor with Japan while letting out such thoughtless words as "south Korea-Japan cooperation" and "future-orientation" without uttering a word over the Japanese reactionaries' shameless and brazen-faced acts. This reminds one of the pro-Japanese acts of treachery committed by the Park Geun Hye group which touted "respect" for "agreement" on the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army and its "implementation" despite the unanimous opposition and rejection by the south Koreans. This intolerable act of submitting to Japan fans up the Japanese reactionaries' arrogant act and brings greater insult to the national self-respect. The south Korean authorities should clearly understand that their acts of submitting to Japan without withdrawing the humiliating "agreement" on the sexual slavery would entail greater international isolation. All Koreans in the north and the south and abroad should resolutely foil the Japanese reactionaries' brazen-faced and arrogant act and wage more unflinching nationwide actions to wipe out the pro-Japanese traitors selling off the dignity and the interests of the nation. |
