At the meeting Kim Chang Yop, chairman of the Union Central Committee, made a report which was followed by speeches.

The reporter and speakers said that in the historic period of leading the Party, Kim Jong Il explored the new phase for revolutionary party building and laid an eternal foundation for accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Juche.

They noted that thanks to his devoted efforts, a radical improvement was made in seed selection and potato farming, the land of the country turned into the well-matched land of socialist Korea and modern stockbreeding and fruit farming bases were built in different parts of the country.

They stated that the leader had developed the work of the union onto a new higher stage as required by the times and the developing revolution, taking deep care of it.

They called for vigorously waging all-out general offensive to carry out the decision of the 7th WPK Congress, united closer around respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un and reap a bumper harvest in agriculture this year when the Conference of Mallima Frontrunners is to be held.
