DPRK Foreign Ministry Director General Meets Angolan Dignitaries
Pyongyang, June 16 (KCNA) -- Ho Yong Bok, director general for Africa, Arab and Latin America of the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK, and his party visited the Republic of Angola recently.

During the visit, Ho made courtesy calls on the acting minister for External Relations who is secretary of State of the Ministry and the secretary of External Relations of the Angola People's Liberation Movement who is member of the Political Committee of its Central Committee. He also separately met and had talks with the director for Asia and Oceania and the director for Multilateral Relations of the Ministry of External Relations.

At the visits and the talks, the director general reaffirmed the consistent stand of the DPRK to further expand and develop the historical and traditional relations of support and solidarity existing between the two parties and the two countries.

He told that the Korean people are making leaping progress toward the final victory full of confidence with the great spirit of self-reliance and self-development as the dynamic force. Branding the U.S. as a chief culprit straining the situation on the Korean peninsula, he referred to the validity of the DPRK's access to nukes and illegality of the UN "sanctions resolutions" on the DPRK.

Angela Braganca, secretary of State of the Ministry of External Relations, and other high-ranking officials of Angola said that Angola, as a friend who has stood in the same trench with the DPRK in the joint struggle, expresses full support for the Korean people in their efforts to defend the sovereignty of the country and achieve its peaceful reunification.

They also said it is an invariable stand of the Angola People's Liberation Movement and the government of Angola to strengthen and develop the friendly and cooperative relations between the two parties and the two countries despite the change of the situation.

During the visit the two sides agreed to conduct active exchanges of delegations of various levels, expand cooperation in such fields as public health, construction and information technology and further mutual support and cooperation in the international arena.
