DPRK's Significant Days Observed in Russia

Pyongyang, June 19 (KCNA) -- A DPRK book, photo and handicraft exhibition took place in Pskov City, Russia from June 8 to 15 on the occasions of the 53rd anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and the 1st anniversary of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un's election as chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK.

On display at the venue of the exhibition were photos showing the noble careers and exploits of President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and the revolutionary activities of Kim Jong Un.

Also displayed were their works, photos introducing the DPRK and handicrafts associated with creative talents of the Korean people.

Present at an opening ceremony of the exhibition were personages of the administrations and assemblies of Pskov Region and City and different units, masses and the delegation of the Korean Overseas Exhibition General Bureau.

The participants laid a floral basket before the photos of Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Un and paid tribute to them.

Speeches were made at the ceremony.

Korean film "Prospering Pyongyang" was shown and a performance given by Russian artistes.
