Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the WPK on June 19, Juche 53 (1964) was the great event which opened a radical turn in developing the WPK and accomplishing the cause of the Juche revolution, papers say.

The party-building history of Kim Jong Il is associated with proud course of victory and glory upholding the red flag of the WPK.

From the beginning of the work of leading the WPK Kim Jong Il propounded the unique idea on the party-building centered on the leader and consistently implemented it.

He firmly laid the party's organizational and ideological foundation under the banner of modeling the whole party on Kimilsungism and saw to it that great changes were brought about in the party work and activities on the basis of idea, theory and method of Juche.

It was the steadfast will of Kim Jong Il to carry forward the socialist cause of Juche started by President Kim Il Sung down through generations.

He clearly indicated scientific accuracy and truth of socialism with perfect logic to provide the guidelines for our party to victoriously advance the socialist cause.

He formulated the revolution as love and trust in the people and thoroughly applied to the party-building and party activities.

Thanks to his wise leadership our party has given top priority to the interests of the people and held them absolute, regarding them as roots of life and source of inexhaustible strength. During the days our people have absolutely trusted in and followed the party as the beacon of their destiny and mother.

Minju Joson says Kim Jong Il was the prominent leader who prioritized efforts to strengthening the party during the whole period of leadership of the revolution and steadily increased the leadership role of the party and victoriously led the socialist cause.
