Minju Joson Slams S. Korean Chief Executive's Paradox
|

Pyongyang, June 23 (KCNA) -- The south Korean chief executive, making a "celebration address" on June 15, asserted that his regime would approach to dialogue without any condition if the north stops its additional nuclear and missile provocation. He talked rubbish that "complete dismantlement of the north's nukes", "establishment of peace-keeping system" and even "normalization of the north-U.S. ties" can be tabled if "dialogue" opens. Commenting on this, Minju Joson Friday says: What the chief executive uttered constitutes an act of treachery that follows in the footsteps of the former conservative regime which brought the north-south ties to total collapse, pursuant to the U.S. heinous moves to stifle the DPRK. Not on a simple day but on the day marking the anniversary of the publication of the June 15 joint declaration, the chief executive voiced support for the U.S. racket for imposing sanctions on the DPRK, prioritizing outsiders, not compatriots. This is just an undisguised treason that destroyed the main spirit of the north-south joint declaration and an open declaration to escalate confrontation with the compatriots in the north. The nuclear deterrent of the DPRK for self-defence is not just a physical means targeting the compatriots in the south. It is just an asset common to all Koreans that will put an end to the aggravating U.S. threat of aggression and provide an environment favorable for peace and reunification of the Korean peninsula. There is no need to worry about it. The south Korean regime is going so foolish as to dream a wild dream for settling the nuclear issue, paying heed only to the backbiting of outsiders seeking to sow discord among Koreans, although it is the issue that should be settled between the DPRK and the U.S. If the south Korean authorities truly hope for peace on the Korean peninsula and safety of the nation, they should make a U-turn in their policy to frustrate the aggression and intervention of outsiders by pooling efforts of all Koreans. |
