Josef Servista, deputy general secretary of the C.C., Czechoslovak Communist Party and vice-chairman of the Paektusan Czech-Korean Friendship Association, was elected chairman of the committee.

The committee set a remembrance period from June 20 to July 10 and decided to introduce the revolutionary career and exploits of the President through media and hold seminar, film show and other political and cultural events in the period.
