In the last 60-odd years since wartime, over 800,000 pieces of explosives have been removed in different parts of the DPRK.

In the new century alone, more than 200,000 explosives were detected and removed throughout the country.

At least 58,000 mines were removed during the project to acquiring hundreds hectares of new land and reclaiming over 1,000 hectares of tideland in the Yonbaek area of South Hwanghae Province and over 2,800 explosives along railway beds in Unjon County, North Phyongan Province. And tens of thousands of explosives were taken away in South Phyongan Province.

In September 2010, an air bomb weighing one ton was found five meters deep in the Taedong River surrounding Rungna Islet in Pyongyang.

The Pyongyang City People's Security Bureau removed more than 70 bombs in the construction sites of the Munsu Water Park and Mirim Riding Club in 2012 and six 250-kg bombs and over 900 shells in the construction site of Mirae Scientists Street in 2014.

Explosive removers from each provincial people's security bureau took away at least 37,000 explosives, including three 500-kg bombs during the construction of the livestock farming base in the Sepho area.

This year witnessed more than 760 explosives removed, including eight 500-kg bombs and ten 250-kg bombs, in Kumgang and Kosong counties of Kangwon Province.

Up to now, at least 350,000 butterfly bombs, including 5,800 matrix bombs, were detected, which discloses that the U.S imperialists are the unethical criminals and devils in human shape.

Few years ago, after seeing butterfly bombs detected in the construction site of the Wisong Scientists Residential District, some Western European members of the NGOs were astonished at the fact that such evil bombs were dropped en masse by the U.S. imperialists over 60 years ago.

The continuous detection of U.S.-made explosives proves that the U.S. imperialists are, indeed, bloodthirsty felons and wreckers of peace.
