Javid Ahmad, director of the Administrative Department of the Kuwait Times and chairman of the Kuwait Asian Journalist Association, was elected chairman of the committee.

The committee set a remembrance period from June 16 to July 10 and decided to significantly hold a seminar, film show and other political and cultural events to praise the revolutionary career and exploits of the President.
