MD. Harun－Ar－Rashid, chairman of the Bangladesh-Korea Friendship and Solidarity Committee who is chairman of the Bangladeshi preparatory committee for Gathering 2017-Praise to the Great Persons of Mt Paektu, was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The remembrance committee decided to hold political and cultural events praising the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Il Sung on the occasion of July 8.
