Anniversary of Kim Jong Il's Start of Work at C.C., WPK Marked Abroad

Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- Delegations of political parties and personages of different countries paid congratulatory visits to the DPRK embassies on the occasion of the 53rd anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) between June 12 and 23. Among them were a Nigerian delegation of political parties, the first vice-general secretary of the Islamic Coalition Party of Iran and his party, the secretary general of the Bangladesh Jatiya Party, the president of the Bangladesh People's League, the chairman of the Bangladesh Institute of the Juche Idea, the chairman of the Bangladesh-Korea Friendship and Solidarity Committee who is chairman of the Bangladesh Preparatory Committee for Gathering 2017-Praise to the Great Persons of Mt Paektu and the general secretary of the Workers' Party of DR Congo. They laid floral baskets and bouquets before the pictures of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and paid tribute to them. The national chairman of the People's Progressive Party of Nigeria, the first vice-general secretary of the Islamic Coalition Party of Iran, the secretary general of the Bangladesh Jatiya Party and others said that June 19 when Kim Jong Il started his work at the WPK Central Committee is a very significant day not only for the WPK but also for all the progressive political parties of the world. They paid the highest tribute to Kim Jong Il who made great contributions to the development of the WPK. The brilliant successes the WPK gained in the struggle to realize independence of the popular masses under his wise guidance serve as a valuable example for parties and peoples of the countries struggling to build a new society, they stressed. Meanwhile, on June 17 the president of the Socialist Party of Benin sent a bouquet to the DPRK Embassy in Cotonou. |
