Mass Struggle against THAAD Deployment in S. Korea
Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- An all-people action for peace was staged in Seoul on June 24 to protest the U.S. THAAD deployment, under the sponsorship of the Action for Checking THAAD Deployment, according to the south Korean CBS.

Attending it were thousands of inhabitants from Songju County and Kimchon City of North Kyongsang Province and other parts of south Korea.

Speakers at a rally said the present "government" should inform the U.S. of the will of the south Korean people opposing the deployment of THAAD as befitting the "government" established by the candlelight resistance.

They urged the U.S. president to withdraw THAAD, stressing that its deployment is an illegal deed as it failed to go through legal procedures and public discussion.

At the end of the rally its participants marched through different streets to surround the U.S. embassy in human-chains.

Earlier on June 21, the Action for Checking THAAD Deployment held a press conference outside the U.S. embassy in Seoul, calling upon the citizens to take active part in the human-chain demonstration against the THAAD deployment.

The organization urged the "government" to attach priority to the people's peace, security and basic rights and resolutely reject the unjust deployment of THAAD by the U.S.
