Andre Lohekele Kalonda, chairman of the DR Congo National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The committee decided to organize a remembrance meeting, a seminar, a photo exhibition, a film show and other political and cultural events to praise the exploits of Kim Il Sung on the anniversary of his demise.
