Ibrahim Mantu, member of the Credit Committee of the People's Democratic Party of Nigeria and chairman of the Nigeria-Korea Friendship Association, was elected chairman of the above-said committee.

The committee decided to give wide publicity to the revolutionary feats of the President for the cause of global independence and hold a remembrance meeting, a film show and other political and cultural events on the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of his demise.
