Chima and Jogori, Traditional Costume of Koreans
Pyongyang, June 30 (KCNA) -- From olden times, the Korean women have liked to put on chima (skirt) and jogori (jacket).

Dr. Jo Hui Nam, section chief of the Folklore Institute under the Academy of Social Sciences of the DPRK, told KCNA that chima and jogori is peculiar in shape, elegant in pattern and beautiful in color.

Jogori is short in length and tight in width, but chima is long and broadens toward the bottom, he said, adding:

Splendid patterns like cloud, grapes, crane and small flowers and elegant harmony of colors add beauty to Chima and jogori which show well the superiority of the national costume.
